This art and culture activity introduces participants to the Northern Thai tradition of umbrella painting.
Umbrella painting is a traditional northern Thai handicraft where artists paint colourful designs on bamboo umbrellas made from saa paper. Participants are first shown a selection of hand painted designs to give them ideas for their design.
Next they need to come up with their own concept which includes elements of their trip to Thailand and their company.
They divide their team into designers and artists. The design team create the design, and the artists paint the design on the umbrellas before they are asked to present their concept to our facilitators for judging.
This creative team building activity is part of our watanatam cultural challenge or as an amazing race activity.
