Hua Hin is unique in that it is a major city as well as a beach resort with an abundance of accommodation choice, lovely beach front resorts along a 20 plus kilometre stretch of coastline and countryside which are all easily accessible. Choose to be in the heart of the city and be in a convenient location.
To the South, five kilometres away is Khao Takieb for a quieter relaxing stay in modern resort style hotels and to the north of Hua Hin heading towards the traditional Thai beach resort of Cha am is a fantastic stretch of long near endless sandy beach with numerous resort style hotels, all perfect for outdoor on site events and galas.
Best time to travel to Hua Hin
The best time to travel to Hua Hin for the weather is from mid-December to the end of March, the high season, when high temperatures (mid 30’s) and warm sunshine are guaranteed. From April to November, the low season, expect a heavy shower or two during the monsoon however the temperature always remains in the mid 30’s with November being a slightly cooler month. The low season is particularly recommended for corporate incentive groups looking to receive excellent hotel group prices making it the best time travel to the island.
Getting to Hua Hin
Travel to Hua Hin is by road transfer and takes approximately three hours from Bangkok. Choose to travel by car, minivan and large coach with private transfers from starting from 2500 per minivan per way. There is a daily large coach service from Suvarnabhumi International airport, eight times a day and the fare is 274 baht per person. Private group Coach charters up to 55 people are available from 15,000 baht including guide and snack service. Hua Hin has a provincial airport and until recently it was possible to fly from Bangkok however, all scheduled services with low cost airlines have currently been suspended. Private charters are available for the short 40 minute journey to the beach from the city.
