Best time to travel to Chiang Mai
The best time to travel to Chiang Mai for the coolest weather is from November to February, where the climate is very pleasurable and in particular during the Loy Krathong festival in November, from March to May the temperatures rise quiet considerably in the dry hot season leading towards the Songkran Thai new year festival in April with the rainy (low) season expected soon after from May to October where you may experience a heavy shower or two during the monsoon however the rains do help to keep the temperate climate cooler which is ideal for local nature and wildlife. The low season is particularly recommended for corporate incentive groups looking to receive excellent hotel group prices making it the best time travel to the city.
